That sure was True today! I brought Ryan to Barnes and Noble 'story time'...which is every week, actually 2 times a week. I think it is just so SUPER cool because they give the children Milk and Cookies...fresh baked! YUMMMMO! and Ms. Sam who does the readings is so super NICE! She reads about 4 or more books and also does a craft with the kids!! She is OUTSTANDING! Today the last book that she read was "One is a Feast for Mouse". This was such a CUTE Thanksgiving book to read. She was extremely animated. The craft afterwards was based on the book..she was super excited to watch the children do them. WE (the mommies) had to cut out the stuff and help with the gluing. It was like a mini-book for them. Ryan loved it but I think his favorite part was eating the cookies, drinking the milk, and playing with the scissors. LOL HE refused to turn his whole body to Ms. Sam while she was reading the books...because I was behind him...sooo attached to me. ahhhhhhhhh! So when we got home he took a picture with his Work of ART (with his New Christmas Hat...could not be coerced to taking it off..lol)
Upon leaving Barnes and Noble, I happened to see a Magazine with EDWARD CULLEN or whoever his REAL name is? LOL from Twilight..O-M-G!! I Had to get it!!! I am badly addicted to everything and anything Twilight or Edward Cullen. Is there a support group for this? I hope so! I'm soooo far in that I happened to see an old Red truck today and thought of Bella!!! HELP! Also, I managed to snag a companion book for the movie and Noah's bookfair at his school. LOL They were also selling Twilight and I felt a little nuts hearing the TEENS talk about it. LOL Gosh I am freakin 34 years old...but I surely KNOW for a FACT that I am not the only adult that feels this way..........about Edward. ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!

It's a SAD SAD Day AMERICA
the day that Obama was elected President. Wow!! I never thought that someone with the name, Barrack Hussein Obama would be president of THIS USA! How quickly we forget our enemies and who actually talks with them NOT politics but by a friendship. This is scary. I am afraid of what this country is becoming...It is NOT what it was founded on. I don't think that it will be the FREE American that it once was...it is going towards a different direction. Maybe it is the end like some think..If it is, Then I'm ready and this is how it has to be.
I am BLAH (like Julie and i call it) and I am positive that I will feel this way for a while. My eyes are swollen from crying so much. I think back to when I first started college and I didn't have a clue as to what the Democrats, Republicans, Liberals, etc meant. But now I know. Back then, who knows if I would have been a sheep and followed the masses and helped to make a decision as critical as what was made last night. All I can say is that I am glad I am not YOUNG right now and was NOT part of that decision.
I will never back someone up who is for killing unborn children. I am Catholic. I have morals, values, beliefs. I stand by my beliefs and I am not just Catholic when it is convenient. THEY (who was elected) wants to take GOD out of everything...very sad.
I wonder if he will be sworn in in January with the Bible or the Koran? hmmmm..something to think about for the next few months.
OH and if you have an UGLY response for me, Save it for yourself or write it down and throw it out. This is MY blog.
Senator McCain, I wish you were President. YOU love this country and were the RIGHT one for President. So many people wasted their time HATING Bush...Well I HATE Obama and will feel that way forever. I cannot be brainwashed. My mind is too strong, I guess. Yes it is a sin to HATE, but it is my sin. I have NO respect for him, nor will I EVER apologize for my feelings.
God Please save our Country
Date Night!
So since MIL was in town, she Insisted that we go out to dinner or something for a date since Scott and I rarely get away by ourselves! We had dinner at Jasper's which was GREAT...I do have to say though that my Filet was rather salty...I hate salty. Scott's steat was overcooked, then undercooked then they had it right...so that was a disappointment..but they did take that 44 dollar steak off our bill! We then wanted to go to a movie, but it was so long til it started so we just went home instead. I think that Scott was toooo chicken to go so Quarantine with me...that was the deal. LOL
We took pictures of ourselves too! LOL
At home we took some more pictures...just playin with the camera and laughing.Ryan got in on the fun too. LOL
And I do have to say that I simply LOVE my new shoes. I had to chase down the store at the Galleria to get these shoes...but Yep, I got em. AND I love em. do you?

Indiana Jones and my Puppy
were the stars of the night for Halloween! I had been coaching Ryan for a few days (or weeks) on that Trick or Treat is when you go to someone's door, ring the bell and get candy!! Yay!! Ryan loves Candy so he was very excited. He loved wearing his puppy Dog costume too. Noah was Indiana Jones and he loved using that whip! It was so funny to watch both of them go trick or treating!
Dressed for the night:
Granny was over for the weekend so she had a chance to come with the kids (her very first Halloween with the kids)...Wow!!! in 9 Years that's a LONG time. We are glad that Granny was able to make out to Houston!
I had my hair done (finally) and I took a picture with my sweet boys!
WE brought the wagon along in case the puppy got tired :) and Ryan wanted to pull it first...til he went to his first house for candy!
First house of Candy!
Some houses just had bowls out waiting with a sign...I had to remind them not to take too much. Their faces are priceless though...when they are looking at candy. LOL
The boys got tons of candy (some good stuff)...but they loved the house that had the dinosaur!!
As was expected, the puppy tired out before the night was done (or done collecting candy)

Noah's Halloween Party
at school.
I just love the school Halloween party. I love seeing Noah have a good time and making all of the little treats for his classmates and teachers. This year, I made Rice Crispy treats shaped like pumpkins! You have to color the marshmallows with orange Icing coloring:
Then you have to use a cookie cutter to shape the orange crispy treats into pumpkins and I colored the stem with cookie icing (it hardens):
Then I drew on the faces with black candy writers (it dries hard)...I thought they came out really cute. This is my second time making rice crispy treats. The first time I made regular ones a few years ago...I think next time I should maybe add more marshmallow than it says to. Any ideas on that?
At Noah's party, the children had fun doing a mummpy wrap, eating goodies, playing gummy bingo, and making their very own monsters!!
Noah's Plate
Ryan had a blast at Noah's party too! He ate almost the whole time. LOL

My Boy IS a Straight A Student!
And I am sooo proud of him! Lord knows that School in Third Grade at St. Edward is NOT Easy on ME or Him....He usually does homework the entire time that he is Awake (NO kidding)...With TKD after school 3 times a week.....and Still all A's...I am very proud!! YES I just had to brag (you know you would too)!
Cupcakes and Crafts
is what we did during the weeks before Halloween...Mommy (me) is having a hard time keeping up with everything lately. I never knew that staying home with the kids was so hard...but rewarding also. Everyday is a challenge for me...I was really brought up for working outside the home...I am not very good at the home thing..but I am trying.
The boys had a BLAST making cupcakes. I think that their favorite part was decorating with sprinkles and icing though.
First you stir:
Then you lick:
Then they go in the oven to bake...and then you ICE them:
And then you Sprinkle them all OVER and everywhere else!!
This was a BIG challenge for me..I hate cleaning these types of messes...but I let them have a good time without cringing much. LOL They had FUN eating them too!
CRAFTS
Well the boys LOVE doing crafts and they LOVE pumpkins so this was PERFECT! They each got to decorate 2 pumpkins with paint or whatever else they wanted. A wooden project was also involved but Ryan got so tired and cranky that he left the room and put himself for a nap. LOL
Ryan insisted on painting one of his pumpkins ALL GREEN!!
The pumpkins came out really cute and they were proud of them but MOST importantly: THEY HAD A GREAT TIME!
