Paradise Island

Yes it exists and I know that because Scott and I went to it! It is in the Bahamas. WE were lucky enough to be able to take a little vaca after Thanksgiving AWAY from the boys...yah just Him and me! My mom and Sister watched the boys for us and took them to the Insectarium, Fulton Street, and Christmas in the Oaks in New Orleans. Yah they barely noticed we were gone :)
We took a Norwegian cruise to Nassau, Paradise Island, and Great Stirrup Cay. It was a blast and a needed rest! I really don't like the cruise part...I think they are kinda cheesy...but I love the islands!
We set sail out of Miami! WELCOME TO MIAMI...Yah I had to keep hearing Scott sing or hum that Will Smith tune......ahhhhhhhhhhh!

Urban Decay

Have you heard of it? I am such a beauty junkie, especially lip gloss...all kinds. I hate the Sticky ones though, like Bath and Body works and Victoria's Secret. Blah! This is NOT the topic but I have recently come across Buxom lip glosses by Bare Escentuals and Philosophy ones...LOVE them and they are NOT sticky and stay on FOREVER!!!



So I am soooo sick and tired of eye shadow creasing. Maybe it is because I have oily skin? I don't really know. My chanel shadow is the WORST! IT creases in about 2 hours. LOL Seriously....it sucks. I think that the Lancome is the best for NOT creasing but even that creases after a few hours....sooo the other day I was at Sephora (Ahhhh LOVE this place) and the sales girl recommended Urban decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion.



She said that it was a TOP SELLER and that it really worked! So heck, what have I got to lose? My eyeshadow seems to melt and crease and Sephora says you can bring it back if you don't like it...so I purchased it..and guess what? IT WORKS!!! I have used it 2 times and ALL DAY...my eyeshadow looks like I just put it on! It is FABULOUS!!!! NOOOO creases and it is still vibrant, seriously, LIKE I JUST PUT IT ON! AND I tested it with Chanel. LOL I LOVE LOVE LOVE It!! I just had to share that...if YOU are tired of this happening to you, go get you some Urban Decay...it's about 16 bucks!! YIPPEEEE!

A Cajun Thanksgiving

is the BEST ever! NOT because I have to be down the bayou though...that part, NOT so fun! There is absolutely NOTHING to do there! ahhhhhhh! WE had a quiet Thanksgiving with all the good food though...we had fried turkey, seafood gumbo, sweet poatoe casserole, crab dip, pumpkin pie, and mini cheesecakes...yum yum!
I have to say that the crab dip may be one of the BEST ever. I purchased the most BEAUTIFUL crab meat (IF crab meat can be considered beautiful) from Rouse's Supermarket in Houma that I have ever seen. Yah it was $24.99 a pound but gosh...it was worth it. I made the mini cheesecakes for the first time and they were LOVED.


The boys enjoyed an afternoon of jumping in a huge jumper that My mom and Eddie put up for them...they own the business for that...it was a lazy cajun Thanksgiving and I loved it!

It's a TWILIGHT thing...........

and BEWARE that you will only understand if you KNOW Twilight like I know TWILIGHT! wow!! what a night!! My BFF Elecisha from way back in the day came with me to the much anticipated movie! I was sooo ready to go and dressed in My Edward shirt <3


We met at Copelands and had a great dinner there, then picked up our PRE-ordered tickets and made a Starbucks run! haha...WE managed to have a worker at the AMC take our photo...she did such a bad job taking it though..YOU would swear that she never held a camera before. LOL She actually had the camera pointed down at our legs. LOL sooo i had to crop it!


The movie was FANTASTIC and I didn't want it to end! I still haven't gotten enough of EDWARD...and I don't think that I ever will! I <3 Edward and Yah I'm 34 years old so don't remind me. LOL

New Orleans seafood is umm umm

good cher! LOL We had a chance to eat at Deanie's seafood in the French quarter and we dined with Wayne and Christy! It was so good to actually have dinner with adults and NO children around. The conversation and food was GREAT!! we miss it terribly! Us couples having a good time

MY Crab platter was to DIE FOR! OMG! stuffed crab, fried crab claws, crab o gratin, and soft shell crab! ahhhhhh! Makes a girl crazy, You know and probably is partly where the 5 extra pounds came from when I got home :( blah to that...but Ive almost lost all of it again. HOORAY!


While we were there, Scott spotted Moses, from the New Orleans Saints games...and of course we had to snag a pic with him! I am sure it is only a matter of time before he starts charging. LOL

LSU

is the college where my honey graduated from and he does really bleed purple and gold. LOL THIS was my very first time at an LSU tigers football game and even though they LOST, I still had a great time!

After the LSU game, there was tons of traffic to get through...so we decided to walk to a place to fill up our tummies! We settled on HELLO SUSHI! well HELLO!! LOL We ate til we were stuffed. IT was all good!

The VAMPIRE Tour

in New Orleans was just AWESOME! We were a few minutes late arriving as we had to almost literally RUN down Bourbon Street to get to the ST. Louis Cathedral where it began (Ironic?). The tour guide, Johnathon, was just wonderful and well educated or well read! He knew all the 'true' stories of the vampires? in New Orleans. He took us to the HOT spots of activity and Unsolved crimes. It was GREAT!! I learned alot of history about the great city Of New Orleans too. I miss it!

And we visited other places like the French Vampire's house and the 2 vampire brothers house and we saw the Convent and heard the attic stories and then we stood at the place of the unsolved murders by vampires?


We also visited Lafitte's Blacksmith shop and bar which is one of THREE buildings to NEVER burn down during the fires in New Orleans. wow! It's really OLD!!


New Orleans, I miss you!

We went on Down to the AUDUBON ZOO

and they all asked for you! LOL awwww wait...it's not Mardi Gras yet! and darn this TEXAS...they don't celebrate that here either...crap!
So we got to visit the Zoo in New Orleans while we were in town for the Thanksgiving break/vacation. WE used to be members at the zoo and Noah loved the zoo. He has a memory book from his first Real trip to Audubon Zoo when he could actually identify the animals...he has pics of all of the animals...anyway, this was Ryan's first trip to the New Orleans Zoo. We were able to meet up with my brother in law and sister in law and mother in law...whew alot of Laws in there. LOL We all had a blast and the kids had so much fun seeing their cousins. I think Ryan's fav part was seeing the gorillas. The silverbacks were awesome to watch.

I am glad that Scott was able to see his brother..it had been almost a year!
